About the Panelist:
J. Skyler Fernandes is the founding Managing Director of Simon Venture Group (SVG), a multi-stage venture capital group focused on retail technology and rising new brands. SVG is ranked by CB Insights as a top 5 corporate venture fund in the U.S and is the venture capital arm of Simon, an S&P 100 company and the largest retail real estate company in the world with retail sales that are larger than Amazon.com and Apple.com combined.
Alex Iskold is the Managing Director of Techstars NYC, a global ecosystem that helps founders build & accelerate companies around the world. Techstars graduated over 700 companies that raised over $2BN in venture funding. Techstars NYC program is highly competitive with 0.8% acceptance rate. Techstars NYC grads in recent years raise median $1.3MM in seed financing. Before Techstars, Alex founded GetGlue a leading social TV network which was acquired by i.tv in 2013.
Sumeet Shah is a Senior Associate, Brand Foundry Ventures where he handles sourcing and managing new opportunities at Brand Foundry Ventures. He has 6 years of experience across the startup and private equity industries, formerly running new business strategies at Gist Digital and handling business development and project work at Gotham Consulting Partners. He also assisted in the creation of XRC Labs, a consumer and retail accelerator run by Kurt Salmon and Parsons, as the Program Manager for their inaugural class.
