<P>Join NewYork-Presbyterian's InnovateNYP: Pediatric Appathon! The InnovateNYP: Pediatric Appathon is the kickoff to our 10 week InnovateNYP: Pediatric App Challenge, during which teams will develop working<SPAN>Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR)</SPAN>enabled applications, technologies and gamesthat will improve the care and experience for our pediatric patients and providers.</P>
<P><SPAN><SPAN>NewYork-Presbyterian is looking for participants who are passionate about healthcare and pediatrics.</SPAN></SPAN></P>

<P><SPAN><SPAN><BR>What:</SPAN>NewYork-Presbyterian InnovateNYP: Pediatric Appathon (optional part of the InnovateNYP: Pediatric App Challenge)</SPAN></P>
<P><SPAN><SPAN>Why:</SPAN>To bring together developers and designers for the weekend to create teams and ideas to use data and technology for pediatrics. Participants can choose to compete in just the Appathon, or just the Challenge, but for those interested in both, the Appathon is a great way for challenge participants to hear feedback from NYP staff, and network to form teams for the Challenge. Designs wil be evaluated on their ease of use, design aesthetic, benefit to users, creativity, scalability with FHIR, and overall quality. Judges will award a total of $10,000 in prizes.</SPAN></P>
<P><SPAN><SPAN>Where:</SPAN>NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, Riverview Terrace,177 Fort Washington Ave, New York, NY 10032</SPAN></P>
<P><SPAN>When: March 12th-March 13th. The hackathon is a weekend-long event starting at 9am on Saturday, March 12th through to Sunday at 6pm. Registration will open at 8am and kick-off will be at 9am on Saturday, March 12th. Judging will start on Sunday at 4pm and will conclude with a happy hour ending at 6:30pm.</SPAN></P>
<P><SPAN>Who:</SPAN>Participants will join judges including:<A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.teamchopra.org/" REL="nofollow">Aneesh Chopra</A>, former White House CTO and President of NavHealth; <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.fastcompany.com/3055217/most-creative-people/new-yorks-chief-digital-officer-rachel-haot-joins-global-incubator-1776" REL="nofollow">Rachel Haot</A>, Managing Director at 1776, a global incubator; <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.nyp.org/news/hospital/barchi-appointment.html" REL="nofollow">Daniel Barchi</A>, chief information officer at NewYork-Presbyterian; <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="https://www.dbmi.columbia.edu/people/gilad-kuperman/" REL="nofollow">Gil Kuperman</A>, director of interoperability informatics at NewYork-Presbyterian; David Friedman, Co-Founder of the Farm; Brad Weinberg, Partner at Blueprint Health; <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www1.nyc.gov/site/forward/about/mt.page" REL="nofollow">Minerva Tantoco</A>, Chief Technology Officer for the City of New York; Kristy Sundjaja, Chief of Staff at Liveperson; and <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://techcrunch.com/2014/05/22/naveen-selvadurai-former-foursquare-co-founder-joins-expa-startup-studio-as-ny-partner/" REL="nofollow">Naveen Selvadurai</A>, co-founder of Foursquare.</P>
